MTV will screen a documentary about Pete Doherty
A day in the life of Pete Doherty will be shown in a new documentary on MTV.
The music channel gains unprecedented access to one of the UK's most fascinating and intriguing modern-day celebrities in the one-hour special Pete Doherty In 24hrs.
A source at the channel said: "This enthralling and at times heart-warming documentary marks the first time in over two years that the Babyshambles frontman has participated in a television project."
The programme is part of MTV One's 2009 schedule, which also includes the UK's answer to My Super Sweet 16, in which flashy kids show off their convertible cars, jewellery and resplendent parties as they hit the tender age of 16.
In The Celebrity Agency, agent to the stars Jonathan Lipman throws open the doors to his top London agency to provide a revealing insight into his celebrity-fuelled world. Jonathan and his team represent tabloid names such as Bianca Gascoigne, Andy Scott Lee, Charlotte Mears and Imogen Thomas from Big Brother.
In this six week series, viewers will get to see what really goes on behind the red carpet flashbulbs, as fees are negotiated, photo-shoots arranged and contracts are signed, sealed and delivered. Expect a special guest appearance from none other than US superstar Paris Hilton, who rolls into London for one night only - earning herself a cool £30k in the process.
MTV One will also be airing brand new offerings from the States including Scream Queens, The City and 50 Cent: The Money & The Power.
